Podcast Ep. 11 – Embracing the social desire to reach out of our comfort zone.

In this episode of Surviving My Podcast, you are coming along with me on a mental health walk on a beautiful fall morning. Taking in the sights and sounds of nature on a local trail.

The topic for this podcast isabout embracing the social desires, the social creature in all of us.

That desire to reach out and be with others, do things with friends, to go out of our comfort zone. To do things that other people do that maybe we think we aren’t worthy of, or that we shouldn’t bother doing.

When we feel like we’d rather be locked up in our house, or our safe room where nobody can hurt us, we are denying ourselves so many amazing experiences. Even the most simple of ventures outside of our home can help instill confidence to reach out and be more social and enjoy different parts of life with friends or family.

Check it out, see what you think, give me a follow, and share this with someone who may need it.

Podcast Ep. 10 – Don't listen to that negative voice

Ep 10 of Surviving My Podcast talks about not giving in the negative voice in our heads that tries to tell us that we can’t do something. That tries to keep us stuck, keep us from reaching our full potential. The voice that tries to make us believe we aren’t worth anything, that nobody cares, that we can’t possibly do what we want.

I challenge myself and I challenge you to not give into that voice. To stay strong, to fight it, and to know that you are worth it. No matter whether you are a survivor of abuse or not, we call struggle with confidence at times.

Be your own advocate and know that you don’t have to listen to the negativity that your mind, or others, can try to make you believe.
