Today I’m joined by special guest and author, Julie Coons. Julie wrote the book, This does not leave this house. A story about growing up with an abusive mother, surviving sexual assault, and escaping an abusive relationship.
Julie is here with me today to talk about her book and share some of her experiences as a survivor, in hopes of reaching as many as possible with her story, to help inspire hope and validate all who have endured similar struggles.
We cover topics including:
1. Why she decided to write her book and where the inspiration for the title came from.
2. The different types of abuse that she endured throughout her life.
3. New realizations of her mother and how that relates to narcissistic abuse.
4. Her future plans for not only her current book but future books and speaking engagements.
Julie’s story is one of not only a traumatic past, but also a story of a resilient survivor who refused to stay silent.
